We source our tallow from BOTALLOW, a New Zealand supplier specialising in cosmetic-grade beef tallow. Their tallow is 100% grass-fed and pasture-raised, sourced exclusively from suet — the highest quality fat for skincare use. It's refined specifically for cosmetic formulation, meaning low odour, high purity, and no mixed fat sources. We chose BOTALLOW because their standards align with ours — knowing exactly where our ingredients come from matters to us.

Yes — our balm is formulated with clean, natural ingredients and no synthetic fragrances, seed oils or preservatives. We use only pure essential oils where included, clearly listed on every label.

Yes, completely normal. Because we use only fresh, natural ingredients, you may notice the texture vary with temperature — softer in warm weather and firmer in cooler conditions. The balm melts on contact with skin regardless. You may also notice the surface develop a white or mottled appearance — this is called blooming and is caused by the naturally-occurring fatty acids and beeswax crystallising, particularly in colder months. It is purely cosmetic and has no effect on the quality or performance of the product.

Because our balm is a waterless formula, it has a long shelf life without the need for preservatives or emulsifiers. The stability of our natural ingredients means your balm will keep for 12 months when stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Always use clean, dry hands when scooping from the tin to maintain freshness.

A Gua Sha is a traditional facial tool used to improve circulation, reduce puffiness and sculpt the face. Apply a small amount of Nourishing Balm to clean skin first, then use the Gua Sha with gentle upward strokes.
